The Full Story
It all began with a group of people who dreamt of starting something completely new, and contributing to something bigger than ourselves--that was the vision from which Elara Robotics was born. Elara is a non-profit organization aimed at coordinating, enabling, and mentoring competitive student robotics teams as an extension of STEM education at the secondary school level.
We're currently partnering with Soaring Heights PK-8 during the 22-23 Vex Robotics season to offer mentoring and support in an effort to achieve these goals.
Mission
Elara Robotics aims to empower students through funding, mentoring, sponsorship, and access to unique STEM opportunities.
We recognize that often times, STEM education is only accessible to the most fortunate youth in today's society. Our hope is to leverage our fortuitous resources to provide increased access to STEM opportunities to children and teens in our community.
Vision
Our hope is to share our resources and various areas of expertise to extend STEM opportunities to our (and neighboring) communities.
We also seek to provide equipment and environments where children and teens can explore their academic gifts and thrive.
Mentoring
We ultimately hope that the efforts of Elara Robotics function as part of a sustaining lifecycle. It is important to us that students not only benefit from all that our organization has to offer, but also learn to contribute to the cycle; helping to inspire others through ongoing mentorship and volunteer work.
One of our flagship groups - 2662U Unknown Error - has recently been developing these skills, volunteering with younger students participating in the Vex Robotics program in their local community.
